I know I have been far too quiet here. But sadly many 'black swan' events have happened that forced my writing to take a back seat. I still have several projects in work and I will get them done eventually but the timeline as to when keeps shifting.
Speaking of shifting, you may have heard that Draft2Digital changed their policy a couple of months ago with regard to their fees. Before an author only paid them a commission when a book was sold. Now they want a yearly fee if you don't have over $100 in sales.
Sadly I never have that many sales on their platform. With this in mind I have decided to remove all my books from their system which will cause their removal from the following estores:
cloudLibrary
Apple iBooks
Smashwords
Gardners
Everand
The rest will remain as I have used direct access to many estores for some time including:
Barnes & Noble's Nook
Amazon Kindle
Kobo
Google Play
Print editions are also unaffected.
I regret needing to close my presence on Apple especially with the audio books I have there, but Draft2Digital has forced my hand. But I am in the Smashwords Summer Sale for one more time before the removal of all the books in August. So if you have any books that have been on your wishlist, now is the perfect time.
